One of the men arrested and charged in connection with a double murder at a Fort Erie Airbnb has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.
The Niagara Falls Review reports that Trevor Barnett, 30, appeared in a St. Catharines court on Monday. The Markham father of four had originally been charged with cocaine trafficking.
When Barnett was arrested, cops say he was in possession of seven grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 60 days in custody.
According to cops, they discovered the cocaine when they arrested Barnett last September and charged him with accessory after the fact to murder in connection with the shooting deaths of 20-year-old Windsor woman Juliana Pannunzio and 18-year-old Christine Crooks of Toronto at the Niagara Pkwy. home.
The two women were murdered at a bash at the home on Jan. 19, 2021.
According to the Review , Barnett’s has previously been convicted of robbery, fleeing cops and firearms crimes.
