Lifeline: The Men and Women Keeping Singapore Fed
Singapore's ports cannot be totally closed. Many essential items, especially food, need to be imported. Be it by land, by sea, or by air, who are the frontliners who work to keep the nation fed?
Despite the pandemic, Singapore’s ports have not and cannot be totally closed. To keep the country going, multiple essential items – not least food – need to be imported. And COVID-19 or not, frontliners on our supply chain have to keep going. And with our nation looking ahead to living with the COVID-19 endemic, this programme looks at the workers ensuring that our various food imports continue. Whether by land, by sea, or by air, who are those who keep on working to keep the nation fed?
