Man charged over Palmerston North shooting remanded in custody

A Manawatu man charged in relation to a shooting in Palmerston North earlier this month has been remanded in custody.

Anthony Ronald Gabolinsay, 28, appeared before Judge Dominic Dravitzki at Timaru District Court on Monday, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The shooting allegedly took place at a property in Highbury, Palmerston North, on November 2.

Gabolinsay was arrested in the small Mackenzie town of Twizel on November 27.

He was denied bail and was remanded without plea in custody to appear in the Palmerston North District Court on December 14.
