Manchester United host Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in serious need of a victory to ease the pressure on him.

It has been a difficult time for the Norwegian, with defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday making it four losses in seven matches.

Atalanta are in better form, with just one loss in the same number of matches, while they have picked up four points from their first two Champions League games, with United managing just three.

The Red Devils are the favourites going into this contest, but wins are proving difficult to come by, especially at Old Trafford.

When is Man Utd vs Atalanta?

The match kicks-off at 8pm on Wednesday 20 October at Old Trafford.

Man Utd vs Atalanta team news

Manchester United remain without Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial after their injuries picked up on international duty with France.

In better news for Solskjaer, he will have Edinson Cavani and Fred available again after they were unavailable at the weekend against Leicester City due to their international commitments in South America.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will also return to the side after missing the last Champions League outing through suspension.

Atalanta are struggling with a number of injuries with Robin Gosens, Hans Hateboer, Berat Djimsiti and Matteo Pessina all out.
