Cindy Li, 70, has been found, but is in a critical condition at Auckland Hospital.

A woman missing from central Auckland for 12 days has been found and is in a critical condition.

Cindy Li, 70, was reported missing from her home in Sandringham on Tuesday 9 November.

Police Detective Senior Sergeant Geoff Baber previously said they had “serious concerns for her safety” given the length of time she had been missing.

On Saturday, Baber said Li had been found at an address near her home on Tranmere Rd around midday.

“She is in a critical but stable condition in the ICU of Auckland Hospital and enquiries are under way to determine what has occurred.”

He thanked those who had provided police with information during the “extensive search”.

No more information was available on Saturday night, but police would provide an update as soon as possible.

During the police investigation, CCTV was found showing Li walking on Tranmere Rd at around 8.25am on the day of her disappearance.

From there, police had been unable to establish where she went.
