Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has offered up a piece of invaluable Christmas advice – how to fix a “pavlova disaster”.

In a Facebook post on Christmas night, Ardern wished everyone a ‘’merry, merry Christmas”. And explained how to fix a cracked pav.

Like many Kiwis, Ardern’s Christmas included a pavlova.

But she had a slight mishap when her pav cracked right down the middle when she took it off the oven tray.

Her solution was to cover it with “cream and half a kilo of berries”.

And then, she advised, offer to slice the sugary sweet, so no-one would discover it was broken.

Until, as she points out, ‘’you post about said pavlova disaster’’ on social media.
