T20 World Cup leading wicket takers: Top bowler standings

A

year later than planned, the T20 World Cup has arrived and most of the world’s leading white-ball bowlers will be in action over the next month.

England are without one of the planet’s best T20 bowlers in Jofra Archer, but the likes of Adil Rashid and Mark Wood will be hoping to have a major impact as Eoin Morgan’s side look to add T20 glory to their fifty-over World Cup win of two years ago.

Afghanistan star Rashid Khan has lit up franchise leagues around the world, with teammate Mujeeb Ur Rahman also ranked inside the top five in the world, while Mitchell Starc and Jasprit Bumrah are among the most feared white-ball bowlers around and will spearhead the attacks of Australia and India, respectively.

South Africa also boast a formidable attack, including star pacemen Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, as well as the world’s No1 ranked T20 bowler in Tabraiz Shamsi, while New Zealand’s is so strong that the in-form Adam Milne is only an injury reserve.
